Highlights

  • The ruins of the Roman Emperor Diocletian's palace date back to the late 3rd to early 4th century A.D. It’s really like a walled area of Split rather than an attraction itself but visiting is definitely worthwhile and there are lots of shops and cafés dotted around to take a break in.
  • Take in the beautiful views over Split and the Adriatic Sea from Marjan Park – just take some comfy shoes with you for the walk!
  • Head to Klis Fortress for a trip back in time (it has a history of over 2000 years) and some more fantastic views. If you’re a Game of Thrones fan, you may recognize it.
