Sentosa is a small island located to the south of the city and literally translates as “peace and tranquility”. Although there are relaxing spas, luxury hotels, golf courses, pristine beaches and lush rainforests, other parts are anything but peaceful! This is Singapore’s playground – for children and adults! Accessible by monorail, road, cable car and pedestrian boardwalk.

Tips

  • There is a food court at VivoCity on the 3rd floor you can visit for lunch before heading across to the island. It’s located right next to the monorail station.
  • It can get very hot and there are no air-conditioned shops to shelter in! Be sure to wear cool clothing, slap on the suntan lotion and a cap.
